I used Nikon F, F2, F3, F4 and F5 35mm cameras for 40 years between 1966 and 2006... so kind of have a liking for them! They're very simple to use as well as being extremely reliable under any conditions from inside studios to outer space.
And I still use old manual Nikkors on my digital DSLR ~ if you're a similar type you could link with me at "Ed Buziak / Fotoformat" on Facebook.

Classic motor-driven Nikon F SLR + Powercon cordless battery pack.

Powercons were made in the heart of Hollywood on fabled Vine Street by famous photographic inventor Irving Jacobson. Five years before Nikon brought out a cordless Nikon F battery pack in 1968, the Jacobson Powercon was the only cordless pack available to Nikon F photographers. Several years later the Remopak was also produced under license from Jacobson. The $120 Powercon 35E was on the Jacobson Photographic Instruments price list, but was strictly a special order item built only as they were ordered. 120 1963 dollars add up to almost $700 in 2001 dollars.

Nikon D600 tear-down…I much prefer those genuinely cut-away (with a saw) Nikon, Pentax and Leica cameras and lenses which did the rounds of pro-dealers showrooms back in the 70’s and ’80s.

Nikon 1 V2 Mirrorless So many people calling Nikon’s latest mirrorless camera “damn ugly” but I like the industrial “mini-brutal” look.

Unique “Usain Bolt Olympics” Nikon D4 on eBay…
Sportbladet is auctioning off the famous camera Usain Bolt used during the Olympics. It was right after Usain Bolt, one of the world’s greatest athletes – and the fastest man in the world – had finished the 200 meter finals that the Sportbladet photographer Jimmy Wixtröm lent him his camera. As seen in the pictures that since have traveled the world, Bolt first immortalized his compatriot Yohan Blake and then turned the lens towards the gigantic crowd. After he was done with taking photos, Bolt carved his name on the camera with a screwdriver – and thus made it unique.
Now this camera can be yours. The initiative for the auction comes from the photographer, Jimmy Wixtröm, himself who hopes and believes that there is a great interest in this camera and that that interest will generate a fair amount of money to the Swedish Cancer Society. Cancer research is incredibly important, and the sellers see this camera as a chance to contribute. Part of the money raised through the auction will also go to Usain Bolt’s own foundation at Jamaica that encourages children to get education.
